HiFyve is seeking a Food Safety Assurance Assistant Manager to join our Alma, Georgia food manufacturing facility. In this full-time position, you'll lead quality assurance and food safety initiatives that keep our products safe and our operations compliant.
About the Role
As Food Safety Assurance Assistant Manager, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality assurance. You'll work the day shift (6:00 AM–3:00 PM) in close partnership with our operations team, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of food safety protocols and quality control procedures
- Monitor compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP standards, and other food safety requirements
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and testing to verify adherence to food safety standards
- Document quality metrics, testing results, and corrective action plans
- Identify opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives in coordination with operations
- Support and train production staff on proper food safety practices and procedures
- Investigate quality issues and manage corrective actions to resolution
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance roles
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, HACCP, and FDA regulations
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; industry certifications (SQF, PCQI) preferred
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $65,000–$85,000 annually, plus a 10% performance bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
