About the Role
The Behavioral Technician II role focuses on delivering specialized behavioral support to students in our Kailua Kona schools who experience severe or challenging behaviors. Working within a comprehensive behavioral framework, you'll implement individualized behavior intervention plans and applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs designed to support student success and create a positive learning environment. This position is classified as SR-16 with a monthly salary of $4,388.00.
What You'll Do
- Implement ABA-based programs and behavior intervention plans with consistency and precision across school settings
- Apply evidence-based behavior management techniques tailored to each student's individual needs and behavioral goals
- Work directly with students exhibiting severe or complex behavioral challenges in supportive, structured interactions
- Establish and maintain positive behavioral supports that reinforce appropriate student conduct
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and specialists to ensure behavioral programming aligns with educational objectives
- Monitor and document student behavior patterns and progress toward individualized behavior goals
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment where students can learn and thrive
