About the Role
As a Host at Union restaurant, you'll be the first impression guests have when they walk through our doors. This full-time, hourly position ($18.00 per hour plus tip pool participation) combines the energy of a busy service with genuine hospitality—greeting each guest warmly, managing seating flow, and keeping our dining room running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Greet guests with genuine warmth as they arrive and direct them to their tables
- Manage the dining room flow, monitoring wait times and communicating clearly with the team
- Handle phone reservations and respond to inquiries about dining availability
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless table turnovers
- Maintain the front-of-house presentation and welcome area
- Build rapport with regular guests and create a welcoming environment for all visitors

- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make guests feel valued
- Reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the dining room
- Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts as scheduled
- Teamwork mindset—you thrive when collaborating with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
- Prior restaurant or customer service experience is valued but not required for the right candidate
