Sanitation Manager, Food Manufacturing

About the Role

As Sanitation Manager for this food manufacturing operation, you'll oversee all sanitation operations that keep production running smoothly. Your work directly impacts both operational efficiency and food safety compliance, ensuring the plant meets its production schedules and manufacturing objectives while maintaining the highest hygiene standards required by the food industry.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive sanitation protocols and cleaning schedules across the facility
• Supervise sanitation staff and coordinate daily cleaning operations to support continuous production flow
• Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, and USDA requirements
• Conduct regular inspections to verify sanitation standards are met throughout the plant
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and sanitation equipment, optimizing costs and effectiveness
• Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve sanitation-related issues quickly
• Document sanitation activities and maintain detailed records for regulatory audits
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance facility cleanliness and safety

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing sanitation operations in a food manufacturing or similarly regulated environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team toward safety and quality goals
• Solid understanding of cleaning methods, disinfection protocols, and facility maintenance
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
