Pharmacist

Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a dedicated Pharmacist to join our clinical pharmacy team in Rutland Town, Rutland County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver direct patient care and medication management in a collaborative healthcare setting.

About the Role

As a Pharmacist at Rutland Regional Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in our patient care mission. You'll combine clinical expertise with distributive pharmacy functions, working as an integral member of the healthcare team to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Identify, resolve, and prevent potential or actual drug-related problems for patients
• Perform clinical pharmacy services including medication therapy management and patient counseling
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory and ensure accurate medication dispensing and distribution
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on patient care plans
• Monitor medication effectiveness and safety, reporting adverse events and drug interactions
• Support medication-use quality assurance and pharmacy operations

What You Bring

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
• Current state pharmacist license (or eligibility to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
• Knowledge of current pharmacy practice standards and patient safety protocols
