Graduate Assistant- Men’s Basketball

Greenville University is hiring a full-time Graduate Assistant Coach for the Men's Basketball program in Greenville, Bond County. This is an opportunity to gain valuable coaching experience while earning your master's degree at a collegiate athletic program.

Role Overview

The Graduate Assistant Coach for Men's Basketball at Greenville University plays a vital role in supporting our program's coaching staff and athletes. You'll work closely with the head coach and assistant coaches to contribute to player development, team success, and the athletic department's mission. This position also includes secondary responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director, offering exposure to various aspects of collegiate athletics administration.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist with player training, skill development, and conditioning programs
• Support practice planning and execution under coaching staff direction
• Contribute to game preparation, including scouting and video analysis
• Help manage team logistics, equipment, and travel arrangements
• Participate in recruiting support activities as needed
• Support academic progress and student-athlete development initiatives
• Complete secondary athletic department projects assigned by the Athletic Director

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and coaching principles
• Demonstrated commitment to student-athlete success and development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Willingness to support program goals and contribute to team culture
