Role Overview
As a Community Outreach Specialist, you'll serve as a bridge between Tri-County Human Services and the communities we serve, connecting people with our treatment programs and vital community resources. You'll work as an integrated member of our clinical team, supporting clients throughout their rehabilitation journey while upholding confidentiality and respect for individual rights in every interaction.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Engage with community members to educate them about available treatment and rehabilitation services
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of local community resources and make informed referrals
- Connect clients with appropriate services, including substance abuse treatment and recovery support
- Contribute to clinical documentation and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Ensure all interactions reflect respect for person-served rights and confidentiality protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate care and identify community needs

- Understanding of substance abuse treatment, recovery principles, and twelve-step approaches
- Knowledge of confidentiality laws and regulations governing human services
