Special Response Armed Security Officer

GardaWorld Security Services U.S. is seeking a Full‑Time Special Response Armed Security Officer to join its team in Farmington, Davis County.

About the Role

This position provides armed protection and rapid response services across various client sites. Officers are expected to maintain a high level of readiness, adapt to changing situations, and act decisively to ensure the safety of people and property.

What You'll Do

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned facilities while carrying authorized firearms.
• Respond swiftly to alarms, disturbances, or security breaches, following established protocols.
• Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activity to supervisors or law enforcement.
• Perform access control checks, verify identification, and manage visitor logs.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of shift activities.
• Participate in ongoing training programs covering weapons handling, emergency response, and conflict de‑escalation.
• Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services when incidents require external assistance.
• Uphold company standards for professional conduct, appearance, and safety at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Valid armed security license or eligibility to obtain one in accordance with state regulations.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related protective services role.
• Strong situational awareness and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective reporting and teamwork.
• Commitment to adhering to all firearms safety policies and legal use‑of‑force guidelines.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and the public.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in first aid or CPR are a plus.
