About the Role

This position supports the Specialty Care Transport Unit by delivering advanced life support to patients requiring specialized monitoring and treatment while moving between facilities. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate transport.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, and manage advanced airway and ventilator support during transport.
• Operate and maintain specialized transport equipment, including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and stretcher systems.
• Communicate effectively with receiving facilities, providing concise hand‑off reports and updates on patient status.
• Document all interventions, vital signs, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records per protocol.
• Participate in regular training, drills, and competency assessments to maintain certification and readiness.
• Assist with inventory control, restocking supplies, and ensuring ambulances are clean and ready for service.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, infection control policies, and company procedures while providing care.

What We're Looking For

• Current New Jersey Paramedic certification and valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, or equivalent credentials.
• Minimum of two years of experience in critical care, emergency medical services, or specialty transport.
• Proficiency in interpreting ECG rhythms, managing ventilators, and administering critical care medications.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals under pressure.
• Ability to lift and move patients safely, often exceeding 50 pounds, and to work in confined spaces.
• Reliable attendance, flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
