Radiologic Technologist

Mission Hospital in Mars Hill, Madison County is seeking a Part‑Time Radiologic Technologist to join its diagnostic imaging team.

About the Role

As a Radiologic Technologist you will support patient care by performing a variety of imaging exams, ensuring high‑quality images while maintaining safety and comfort for those you serve.

What You'll Do

• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and address any concerns.
• Position patients correctly and select appropriate exposure factors to obtain diagnostic images.
• Operate state‑of‑the‑art radiographic equipment, including fixed and mobile units.
• Apply sterile techniques and follow infection‑control protocols during invasive studies.
• Monitor patients during exams, responding promptly to any changes in condition.
• Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments or repeating views as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in the radiology information system and ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate timely reporting.
• Participate in routine equipment checks, quality assurance activities, and supply management.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, regulatory standards, and radiation safety guidelines.

What We're Looking For

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• Proficiency with digital radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging devices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to put patients at ease.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality images.
• Ability to work a part‑time schedule, including potential evening or weekend shifts.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.
