About the Role

As a Paramedic with AMR, you'll respond to 911 emergency calls and provide advanced life support interventions to patients in critical need. This full-time opportunity places you at the front lines of emergency medical care in Cook County, where your clinical expertise and compassion directly impact patient outcomes. You'll work as part of a professional team dedicated to delivering high-quality prehospital care every shift.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Answer 911 emergency calls and rapidly assess patient conditions in the field
• Deliver advanced life support care including medication administration, intubation, and resuscitation procedures
• Safely operate ambulances and transport patients to appropriate medical facilities
• Complete comprehensive patient documentation and incident reports
• Coordinate with emergency room staff, fellow paramedics, and EMTs to ensure seamless patient transitions
• Perform daily equipment checks and maintain ambulance readiness
• Follow established medical protocols and quality standards

What We're Looking For

• Current Illinois paramedic certification or license
• Valid driver's license with clean driving history
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong decision-making and communication abilities
• Willingness to work 24/7 shift schedules including overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical capability to perform demanding emergency response duties
• Genuine commitment to patient-centered care
