Family Law Attorney – Seattle, WA

About the Role

This full-time position offers the opportunity to build and manage your own family law caseload while working alongside accomplished attorneys. You'll represent clients through all phases of matrimonial proceedings—from initial intake and strategy sessions through negotiated settlements and courtroom advocacy. Your expertise will help families reach fair, stable resolutions on issues including property division, spousal maintenance, child custody, and support obligations.

What You'll Do

• Advise clients on their rights and available legal options in divorce, custody, and family financial matters
• Draft, file, and argue pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and represent clients in mediation
• Prepare cases for trial when negotiated resolution isn't possible
• Manage case timelines, deadlines, and document discovery
• Maintain professional client relationships and provide regular case updates

What We're Looking For

• Minimum four years of practicing family law
• Active, good-standing license with the Washington State Bar Association
• Proven experience handling divorce, child custody, and support cases
• Skill in legal document drafting and settlement negotiation
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Capacity to manage multiple cases while meeting court deadlines
• Commitment to client confidentiality and professional ethics
