What You'll Do
- Operate a tractor-trailer combination safely and professionally, managing over-the-road routes for extended periods
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment compliance and safety
- Maintain accurate DOT logbooks and comply with all federal transportation regulations and Hours of Service rules
- Deliver freight securely and on schedule while handling valuable cabinetry products with care
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding deliveries and shipment status
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately to prevent delays
- Ensure proper load securement and inspect cargo integrity throughout transport
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and no disqualifying violations
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to maintain ongoing compliance
- Experience operating tractor-trailer equipment for long-haul or over-the-road trucking (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle safety standards, and Hours of Service compliance
- Reliable, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while managing schedules away from home for extended periods
- Willingness to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
