Chief Healthcare Compliance Officer, Genentech

About the Role

This full-time leadership position reports to senior management and shapes Genentech's compliance vision and execution. You'll own healthcare compliance risk, strategy, and program delivery across research, manufacturing, commercial, and corporate functions. Your work directly supports our mission to develop life-changing medicines while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory and ethical conduct.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute the healthcare compliance strategy and program roadmap
• Oversee compliance operations, monitoring, auditing, and risk assessment activities
• Build and lead a compliance team, establishing best practices and performance standards
• Manage regulatory relationships and ensure alignment with healthcare laws and FDA requirements
• Develop compliance policies, training, and communication across the organization
• Report compliance status, trends, and metrics to executive leadership and governance bodies
• Partner with legal, quality, ethics, and business teams on compliance integration

What We're Looking For

• Substantial experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, or related leadership roles
• Demonstrated success building and managing compliance programs and teams
• Expert knowledge of healthcare regulations, FDA compliance, and industry requirements
• Strong strategic vision, interpersonal communication, and organizational influence
• Advanced degree (J.D., M.B.A., or relevant compliance certification preferred)
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences valued
