Men’s JV Soccer Athletic Coach

Lead the men's junior varsity soccer program at Whitman-Hanson Regional School District in Whitman, Plymouth County, as a part-time seasonal athletic coach. This coaching role offers the opportunity to develop young athletes while managing all aspects of a competitive high school sports program.

About the Role

The Men's JV Soccer Coach works with the Athletic Director and Building Principal to build and maintain a successful soccer program during the fall season. Starting in late August 2026, this is a seasonal, part-time position with after-school and evening responsibilities. Coaches receive a stipend for their contributions to the program.

What You'll Do

• Direct all coaching activities, training sessions, and athletic development for the JV soccer team
• Plan and execute comprehensive practice programs focused on technical skill, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
• Manage team logistics, including scheduling, roster administration, and coordination with athletic facilities
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes athlete development, sportsmanship, and academic integrity
• Collaborate with the varsity soccer program and athletic department on program goals and student-athlete welfare
• Maintain emergency preparedness and ensure all athletes receive appropriate care and support

What We're Looking For

• Current CPR/AED certification (required)
• Previous experience playing or coaching soccer at the high school level or equivalent (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of the sport and demonstrated ability to teach technique and strategy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to athlete safety, compliance with school policies, and ethical coaching practices
• Ability to manage practices and competitions in outdoor settings across typical fall weather conditions
