Join UF Health as a Surgical Tech II at our North Surgery Center in Atlantic Beach, Duval County. We're seeking a skilled surgical technologist to support our surgical team in delivering exceptional patient care in our operating room.
About the Role
As a PRN Surgical Tech II, you'll work the 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. shift, serving as a critical member of our surgical team. You'll provide expert instrumentation and maintain strict sterile techniques during all procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and surgical excellence.
What You'll Do
- Assist surgeons with instrumentation and technical support during operating room procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols throughout all procedures
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before each operation
- Handle, count, and manage surgical instruments and materials according to established protocols
- Provide care and maintenance of surgical equipment to ensure proper function and safety
- Deliver direct patient care in the clinical operating room environment
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff to support smooth surgical operations
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures as required
