Field Service Technician – 100% Travel (Rotational Position 4 weeks traveling, 1 week off)

Join Invenergy as a Field Service Technician and help keep North America's power infrastructure running reliably. This is a full-time position based in Madison, featuring a rotational travel schedule: four weeks on-site at project locations, one week off to recharge at home.

About the Role

Invenergy is North America's largest privately held power infrastructure developer, owner, and operator. We build and maintain diverse energy systems—from natural gas and solar to land-based wind, energy storage, and transmission projects. As a Field Service Technician in Madison, you'll be essential to our operations, ensuring equipment performance and reliability across our portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of power generation and energy storage equipment at active project sites
• Diagnose technical issues and execute troubleshooting procedures to minimize downtime
• Follow strict safety protocols and maintain full compliance with industry regulations and company standards
• Document maintenance activities, system performance, and work completion in field reports
• Collaborate with site supervisors, engineering teams, and other technicians to support project operations
• Respond to service requests and emergency repairs as needed during rotational assignments
• Travel to project sites located throughout North America on a four-week/one-week schedule

What We're Looking For

• Technical training, apprenticeship, or certification in electrical, mechanical, or power systems work
• Proven experience with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety and ability to work within regulated environments
• Physical capability to perform hands-on work and travel on a rotational basis
• Clear communication and ability to work effectively in team settings
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for extended periods
