Responsibilities
- Execute scrub nursing duties including sterile field preparation, instrument management, and surgical site maintenance
- Perform circulating nurse functions including patient positioning, specimen handling, documentation, and equipment coordination
- Uphold infection control and safety standards throughout all surgical cases
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff
- Respond effectively to intraoperative needs and support complex surgical situations
- Maintain comprehensive perioperative records and contribute to unit efficiency
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Proven experience in operating room nursing with demonstrated competency in both circulating and scrub roles
- Solid understanding of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and aseptic technique principles
- Ability to function effectively in a high-acuity, collaborative environment
- Current CPR certification and commitment to maintaining professional credentials
- Clearance to meet healthcare facility background and credentialing requirements
