About the Role

This is a full-time teaching position (8 hours per day, 182 days per year) designed for educators passionate about dual language immersion. You'll guide 3rd graders through rigorous, grade-level curriculum delivered in both Spanish and English, fostering academic excellence and cultural proficiency. Compensation follows the Certified Educator Salary Schedule, with eligibility for district benefits. Site assignments may change year to year based on district staffing and student enrollment needs.

What You'll Do

• Deliver core instruction in Spanish and English across math, science, language arts, and social studies
• Design and implement engaging lessons that build literacy and numeracy skills in both languages
• Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments aligned to state standards
• Collaborate with general education and special education staff to support all learners
• Foster a culturally responsive classroom that celebrates multilingualism and diversity
• Communicate regularly with families in Spanish and English to support student success
• Participate in professional development and contribute to school and district initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Valid Utah teaching license or eligibility for licensure in elementary education
• Demonstrated fluency in Spanish (oral and written)
• Experience teaching elementary students, preferably in a dual language or bilingual setting
• Strong understanding of dual language immersion pedagogy and evidence-based practices
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including ELL and gifted students
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to professional collaboration and continuous improvement
