About the Role
As a Research Associate I on Dr. Susan Cheng's team, you will support high-impact clinical and translational research initiatives within the Smidt Heart Institute. This role combines hands-on laboratory and clinical research experience with meaningful involvement in one of the country's most respected cardiovascular research programs.
What You'll Do
- Assist with study design, patient recruitment, and data collection for cardiovascular research projects
- Perform laboratory work including sample preparation, analysis, and quality assurance procedures
- Maintain detailed records and manage research databases with accuracy and attention to regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with clinical staff and research team members to support patient assessments and follow-up
- Help prepare materials for presentations, publications, and research reports
- Support IRB submissions and maintain compliance with research protocols and institutional standards
What We're Looking For
