About the Role

This faculty position supports the development of a research agenda focused on mechanisms of infectious disease, with particular emphasis on understanding complex pathophysiological interactions. The appointment provides the infrastructure and support needed to advance a focused research program while building a mentoring and teaching portfolio appropriate to your career stage and interests.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and lead an original research program investigating the intersections of alcohol consumption, HIV infection, and multi-organ physiological responses
  • Mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and research trainees within the Division and broader institution
  • Participate in medical education through classroom instruction and clinical supervision
  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues on interdisciplinary research initiatives across infectious diseases and related fields
  • Secure peer-reviewed research funding to support the expansion and sustainability of your scientific program

What We're Looking For

  • MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Infectious Diseases
  • Significant post-doctoral research training with demonstrated scholarly productivity
  • Strong background in infectious disease mechanisms and pathophysiology
  • Proven ability to mentor junior scientists and trainees effectively
  • Commitment to academic medicine and advancing knowledge in infectious diseases
