About the Role

As a Senior Information Assurance (IA) specialist, you'll play a critical role in protecting our nation's security infrastructure. Working within a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), you'll contribute to mission-critical programs where information security directly impacts operational success and national defense.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies and procedures aligned with government standards and frameworks
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and risk evaluations across systems and networks
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats in real time
• Ensure compliance with DoD, NIST, FISMA, and other federal security requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security staff and cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with program managers and engineering teams to integrate security controls into system design, development, and operations
• Prepare security documentation, audit reports, and risk assessments for leadership and government stakeholders
• Participate in security training, certification, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Extensive hands-on experience in information security, information assurance, or cybersecurity in a government or defense contracting environment
• Deep knowledge of federal security standards, DoD regulations, and compliance frameworks
• Strong technical expertise in security architecture, network defense, and systems administration
• Demonstrated ability to lead security programs and mentor technical professionals
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Current or ability to obtain a government security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH strongly preferred
