Join BJC HealthCare as a full-time Emergency Department Graduate Nurse at our Moline Acres location in Saint Louis County. This role offers newly licensed nurses the ideal foundation to build critical clinical skills and emergency medicine expertise in a supportive, high-energy team environment.
About the Role
Our Emergency Department provides an accelerated learning environment where graduate nurses develop confidence and competency across diverse patient presentations and acuity levels. You'll work alongside experienced emergency medicine professionals in a setting designed to deepen your clinical judgment and nursing practice in real time, shift after shift.
What You'll Do
- Deliver direct patient care to individuals presenting across the full acuity spectrum
- Monitor and respond to vital sign changes and evolving patient conditions
- Assist with emergency procedures, protocols, and time-sensitive interventions
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and clinical findings with accuracy and completeness
- Provide compassionate support to patients and families during emergent situations
- Participate in competency-based training and structured mentorship programs
What We're Looking For
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to patient advocacy and compassionate care delivery
- Openness to feedback and professional development through experienced mentorship
- Organizational skill and composure when managing multiple patient priorities
