Join Saint Leo University's Center for Academic Vision & Excellence (CAVE) as a part-time Student Worker in University, Latah County, during the 2026-2027 academic year. Help fellow students succeed through peer tutoring, Supplemental Instruction leadership, and embedded academic support designed to strengthen learning and build confidence.
About the Role
The Center for Academic Vision & Excellence (CAVE) provides comprehensive peer support and tutoring services to help students master course material and reach their academic potential. In this student worker position, you'll serve in one or more roles—peer tutor, Supplemental Instruction leader, embedded tutor, or a combination—all focused on creating an inclusive learning environment where peers help peers succeed.
What You'll Do
- Conduct peer tutoring sessions in your subject areas, helping classmates understand difficult concepts and develop study strategies
- Lead Supplemental Instruction sessions that review course content through collaborative, interactive learning
- Provide embedded tutoring support within courses, reinforcing material in real time alongside classroom instruction
- Complete employment and professional development training provided by CAVE
- Attend and facilitate all scheduled tutoring and instruction sessions reliably
- Collaborate with other student peer educators, faculty advisors, and CAVE staff
