Role Overview

As the Dentist – Pediatrics-Focused with Westphalia Holdings, you will provide age-appropriate preventive, diagnostic, and restorative dental services for infants, children, and adolescents in Joplin, MO. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough oral examinations, record findings, and diagnose common pediatric conditions such as caries, developmental issues, and soft-tissue concerns
• Create and carry out individualized treatment plans that include preventive services (cleanings, fluoride, sealants) and restorative procedures appropriate for young patients
• Explain findings, options, and home-care guidance to parents or guardians in plain language while coaching children on brushing and healthy habits
• Deliver care with techniques that build trust, manage apprehension, and keep visits as comfortable as possible for patients with varying levels of cooperation
• Document clinical notes accurately, maintain infection-control standards, and coordinate with dental assistants and other staff for efficient patient flow
• Apply current pediatric dentistry best practices and safety protocols throughout every appointment

What We're Looking For

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental program
• Current license to practice dentistry in Missouri, or clear eligibility to obtain one
• Genuine interest in or prior experience delivering pediatric-focused dental care
• Excellent interpersonal skills for connecting with both children and adult caregivers
• Calm, patient demeanor and the ability to adapt chairside approach to different ages and temperaments
