Join Lee's Summit Medical Center as a New Graduate Nurse in our OR Surgery program. This full-time residency position in Lees Summit, Jackson County, is designed to prepare newly licensed nurses for careers as Operating Room circulator nurses through structured clinical training and mentorship.

About the Role

This is a comprehensive training opportunity within an accredited OR Surgery residency program. You'll work alongside experienced surgical nurses and physicians to develop clinical judgment, technical skills, and the professional knowledge required to function independently as an OR circulator within a busy surgical environment.

What You'll Do

• Circulate surgical cases, managing the sterile field and coordinating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and operational efficiency
• Respond to intraoperative needs, including equipment setup, specimen management, and communication between surgical staff
• Monitor patient comfort, safety, and positioning throughout procedures
• Document operative events and maintain accurate surgical records
• Collaborate with scrub nurses, surgeons, anesthesia staff, and surgical technicians
• Progress through structured competency modules with ongoing evaluations and feedback

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in Missouri or eligibility to obtain a Missouri nursing license
• New graduate or early-career nurse with limited OR experience
• Strong commitment to patient advocacy and surgical excellence
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and develop in a structured training environment
