About the Role

This full-time management position oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive professional development initiatives that strengthen teacher practice and student outcomes. You'll cultivate a culture of continuous learning, mentor educators across all grade levels, and ensure instructional strategies align with evidence-based practices for learners with autism. The annual starting salary range is $70,000–$85,000.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and facilitate professional learning programs that build teacher competency in autism-centered pedagogy and evidence-based interventions
  • Assess educator needs through observations, feedback, and data analysis; design targeted coaching and support
  • Lead professional learning communities and collaborative planning sessions focused on instructional improvement
  • Mentor and evaluate teaching staff, providing constructive feedback and career development guidance
  • Stay current with research and best practices in special education, autism spectrum disorder, and inclusive teaching; share insights with the team
  • Manage professional development budgets and coordinate training resources, workshops, and conferences
  • Partner with school leadership to align professional learning with school goals and student achievement data

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Special Education, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, with demonstrated expertise in special education or autism instruction
  • Experience in staff development, instructional coaching, or teacher leadership
  • Deep understanding of evidence-based practices for students on the autism spectrum
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into professional learning design
  • Commitment to collaborative, inclusive school culture
  • Valid Massachusetts teaching license or eligibility to obtain one
