About the Role
As a Strategic Planning Advisor supporting the AFAC SBIR III effort, you will help guide the long-range planning and execution strategy behind cutting-edge research and development programs. This position requires an active security clearance and is based on-site in Universal City, Bexar County, Texas, where you will collaborate closely with technical teams, program leaders, and government stakeholders to translate complex objectives into actionable roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine strategic plans that align program goals with broader Department of War, Intelligence Community, and federal mission priorities.
- Advise program leadership on planning frameworks, milestones, and resource allocation for SBIR Phase III activities.
- Coordinate across engineering, R&D, and government stakeholders to keep initiatives on schedule and on target.
- Identify emerging technology opportunities and risks that influence long-term program direction.
- Prepare briefings, planning documents, and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
Qualifications
- Active U.S. security clearance is required for this position.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, program advisory, or related roles supporting federal or defense programs.
- Familiarity with SBIR/STTR programs, government R&D, or emerging technology initiatives is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site full-time in Universal City, Bexar County, Texas.
