About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, you will serve as our primary liaison to the executive and legislative branches, representing Aalo Atomics in federal policy matters. You will navigate complex regulatory landscapes, monitor legislative developments, and translate federal policy insights into strategic business guidance.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute federal affairs strategies aligned with company priorities and industry opportunities
- Lead day-to-day engagement with congressional offices, committees, and staff on clean energy and nuclear policy
- Represent Aalo Atomics with the Department of Energy, regulatory agencies, and White House policy teams
- Analyze legislative and regulatory developments, providing strategic counsel to senior leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with key federal decision-makers and stakeholder coalitions
- Prepare policy briefings, legislative analyses, and testimony for executive consideration
- Travel to Washington, D.C. for meetings, hearings, and advocacy activities
What We're Looking For
- Director-level experience in federal government affairs, legislative strategy, or policy advocacy
- Comprehensive knowledge of Congress, the legislative process, and executive branch operations
- Established relationships within Congress, federal agencies, or the executive branch
- Proven success advancing policy objectives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with strategic thinking ability
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certification in public policy, law, or related field preferred
