Join Welcome Home Mtg llc as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) in our Hackensack, Bergen County office, where you'll originate residential mortgages and help borrowers navigate the path to homeownership.
About the Role
This is a full-time, commission-based position focused on mortgage loan origination. You'll work directly with prospective homebuyers to assess their financial needs, present appropriate loan products, and guide them through the application and closing process in a streamlined, paperless environment.
What You'll Do
- Meet with borrowers to gather financial information and determine loan eligibility and program suitability
- Present mortgage options, explain terms and rates, and address borrower questions throughout the lending process
- Complete loan applications and coordinate documentation in our paperless system
- Build and cultivate a referral network to generate consistent loan opportunities
- Partner with underwriters, processors, and closing teams to ensure smooth loan delivery
- Maintain compliance with mortgage industry regulations and NMLS requirements
What We're Looking For
- Active NMLS state license in New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, or Florida
- Demonstrated experience in mortgage lending or residential loan origination
- Strong sales ability and proven success originating and closing loans
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor with clients and team members
- Ability to manage your own schedule and work independently within a collaborative environment
- Spanish language proficiency (preferred)
Compensation
Full-time position with 100% commission-based pay, averaging $480,000 to $562,000 annually based on production.
