Registered Nurse – Graduate Nurse (RN, GN) – Med Surg Telemetry

Windham Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse—Graduate Nurse for our Medical-Surgical Telemetry team at Windham Community Memorial in Chaplin, Connecticut. This full-time position welcomes newly licensed RNs and GNs ready to launch clinical careers with structured mentorship and professional support.

About the Role

You'll provide direct bedside care to adult patients with acute medical and surgical diagnoses on our telemetry unit. Working 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule (including every other weekend and rotating holidays), you'll apply nursing fundamentals while building clinical judgment in a collaborative, supportive environment. This role is designed for recent graduates entering independent practice.

What You'll Do

• Deliver skilled nursing care to med-surg telemetry patients using current clinical protocols
• Assess vital signs, monitor cardiac rhythms via bedside telemetry, and recognize changes in patient condition
• Work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate treatment plans
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of patient responses and nursing interventions
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and nursing staff to support continuity of care
• Uphold patient safety and infection control standards throughout the shift
