Materials Lab Supervisor

About the Role

As Materials Lab Supervisor, you'll lead a dedicated team responsible for materials testing, analysis, and quality assurance in aerospace applications. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll drive compliance with industry standards, mentor technicians, and ensure our laboratory operations support the critical work of our Fuel Motion Control Systems division.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and develop materials laboratory staff, providing guidance on testing protocols and technical competency
• Ensure all laboratory procedures align with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
• Oversee materials testing, analysis, and documentation for aerospace components and systems
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration, and safety protocols
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support product development and validation
• Monitor laboratory metrics, identify process improvements, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain detailed records and reports demonstrating compliance and audit readiness

What We're Looking For

• Experience supervising or managing laboratory operations and technical teams
• Strong knowledge of materials science, testing methodologies, and aerospace industry standards
• Proven ability to ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and quality systems
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Technical background in materials engineering or laboratory science preferred
• Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members
