Jacobs is hiring a Senior Process Engineer for a full-time, remote or hybrid role based in our Cary, North Carolina office. As part of our Life Sciences North America division, you'll contribute to excellence across our operations in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Virginia, Massachusetts, and California.
About the Role
In this position, you'll lead the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and operational processes that directly impact product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You'll work with cross-functional teams to drive process excellence while maintaining the flexibility of a remote or hybrid work arrangement.
What You'll Do
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes and operational workflows to improve efficiency and quality
- Develop comprehensive process documentation, standard operating procedures, and validation protocols
- Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve process challenges
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across operations
- Collaborate with quality assurance, manufacturing, and compliance teams to achieve operational goals
- Mentor junior engineers and support process engineering initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline
- Extensive experience as a process engineer in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, GMP standards, and FDA compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies and data-driven analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams
