Senior Director- Data Center Readiness (Nashville, TN)

Oracle is seeking a Senior Director of Data Center Readiness in Des Moines, Iowa to lead strategic infrastructure operations and ensure our enterprise-scale cloud environments meet the highest standards for availability, resilience, and performance. This is a full-time leadership position where you'll oversee critical facility systems and drive operational excellence across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

About the Role

As Senior Director of Data Center Readiness, you'll be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of our data center infrastructure. This leadership role focuses on maintaining and advancing the reliability, security, and scalability of Oracle's cloud services through comprehensive facility operations and infrastructure stewardship.

What You'll Do

• Direct data center operations teams to deliver consistent uptime and operational resilience across enterprise-grade infrastructure environments
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance facility readiness, performance monitoring, and preventive maintenance programs
• Oversee facility compliance, security protocols, and industry standards to protect mission-critical systems
• Lead capacity planning and infrastructure assessments to support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's growth and scalability requirements
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and service agreements for critical infrastructure systems and support services
• Champion operational best practices, implement process improvements, and establish metrics for continuous performance optimization
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, security, and business teams to align infrastructure capabilities with organizational goals

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive experience in data center operations, infrastructure management, or facility operations at enterprise scale
• Proven track record leading high-performing teams and managing complex, mission-critical environments
• Deep expertise in data center infrastructure systems, including power, cooling, networking, and physical security
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure operations, reliability engineering, and operational resilience principles
• Experience with infrastructure compliance frameworks, industry standards (UPTIME Institute, ISO), and risk management
• Excellent strategic planning, budget management, and stakeholder communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
