Join the KidsZone Childcare Attendant team at Christ Community Church in Dekalb, DeKalb County. We're seeking a full-time team member to support our growing KidsZone program during the fall 2026 ministry season and create a safe, engaging environment for the children in our care.
About the Role
KidsZone is a weekly childcare program that serves families attending classes, community groups, and special events at Christ Community Church. You'll provide attentive supervision and age-appropriate activities, allowing parents to participate fully in church programming while their children enjoy a welcoming, structured environment.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and engage children during Wednesday evening sessions from 6:00 to 8:30 pm
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities, games, and crafts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe play space
- Respond promptly to children's needs and concerns
- Communicate with parents about their child's experience in the program
- Follow all established childcare protocols and church safety guidelines
What We're Looking For
- Minimum age of 16 years old
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children
- Flexible schedule availability, with commitment to Wednesday evening hours
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and responsive in a group setting
- Strong communication skills and willingness to follow instructions
- A background check may be required
