Security Officer: Saturday-Sunday (3pm-11pm)

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is hiring part-time Security Officers for weekend shifts across multiple client sites in the Boston and Cambridge, MA area, including locations near Harvard Square in Middlesex County.

About the Role

These openings are specifically for Saturday and Sunday coverage, with shifts running either 3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. Pay ranges from $20.00–$24.00 per hour depending on site and experience. As a Security Officer with Securitas, you'll be the on-site presence that keeps people, property, and assets protected at facilities throughout the greater Boston and Cambridge region.

What You'll Do

• Conduct regular foot patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor access points and verify credentials to control entry to restricted areas
• Observe and operate surveillance systems, alarms, and security equipment
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies; coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
• Write accurate, timely incident and activity reports
• Provide a visible, professional security presence that supports a safe environment for employees, visitors, and residents
• Enforce client-specific policies and procedures at each assigned site

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work both Saturday and Sunday on the specified shift (3pm–11pm or 4pm–12am)
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting and public interaction
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Valid Massachusetts Security Officer license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus but not required
