About the Role

As a Summer Swim Coach with the YMCA of the Roses, you'll spend the season helping young athletes build confidence, technique, and a lifelong love of the water. This on-site position in Meadia Heights, is ideal for an energetic, experienced coach who thrives in a positive, team-first setting and wants to make a real difference in swimmers' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, well-organized swim practices that keep participants safe and motivated.
• Encourage and develop swimmers' skills, sportsmanship, and personal growth throughout the summer season.
• Foster a welcoming, supportive, and team-oriented atmosphere both in and out of the pool.
• Promote water safety and uphold YMCA standards during all sessions and activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coaching swimming or working closely with swimmers of varying ages and abilities.
• Genuine enthusiasm for mentoring youth and building a constructive team culture.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to keep practices both fun and focused.
• A commitment to safety, reliability, and the values of the YMCA.
