About the Role
As our Landscape Architecture / Urban Design Market Leader in Oakland, you will guide the strategic growth of our practice throughout Northern California. This is a full-time, in-office position centered on building client relationships, championing exceptional design, and growing Alta's presence across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts and pursue new opportunities across the Northern California market.
- Establish and strengthen Alta's reputation in landscape architecture and urban design throughout the region.
- Champion design and placemaking that produces active, engaging, community-centered public spaces.
- Drive strategic growth for the Oakland design team and the broader practice.
- Cultivate lasting partnerships with clients, agencies, and collaborators across Northern California.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in landscape architecture and/or urban design, ideally in a leadership capacity.
- A genuine commitment to design-led placemaking and creating welcoming public realms.
- Proven ability to win work and grow a market through business development.
- Strong relationship-building skills and familiarity with the Northern California market.
- Willingness to work on-site from the Oakland office.
