About the Role As our Landscape Architecture / Urban Design Market Leader in Oakland, you will guide the strategic growth of our practice throughout Northern California. This is a full-time, in-office position centered on building client relationships, championing exceptional design, and growing Alta's presence across the region. Key Responsibilities Lead business development efforts and pursue new opportunities across the Northern California market. Establish and strengthen Alta's reputation in landscape architecture and urban design throughout the region. Champion design and placemaking that produces active, engaging, community-centered public spaces. Drive strategic growth for the Oakland design team and the broader practice. Cultivate lasting partnerships with clients, agencies, and collaborators across Northern California. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in landscape architecture and/or urban design, ideally in a leadership capacity. A genuine commitment to design-led placemaking and creating welcoming public realms. Proven ability to win work and grow a market through business development. Strong relationship-building skills and familiarity with the Northern California market. Willingness to work on-site from the Oakland office.
