Alta, part of the Trilon Group, is seeking a Landscape Architecture / Urban Design Market Leader to anchor our expanding design studio in Oakland, California. About the Role

As our Landscape Architecture / Urban Design Market Leader in Oakland, you will guide the strategic growth of our practice throughout Northern California. This is a full-time, in-office position centered on building client relationships, championing exceptional design, and growing Alta's presence across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts and pursue new opportunities across the Northern California market.
• Establish and strengthen Alta's reputation in landscape architecture and urban design throughout the region.
• Champion design and placemaking that produces active, engaging, community-centered public spaces.
• Drive strategic growth for the Oakland design team and the broader practice.
• Cultivate lasting partnerships with clients, agencies, and collaborators across Northern California.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in landscape architecture and/or urban design, ideally in a leadership capacity.
• A genuine commitment to design-led placemaking and creating welcoming public realms.
• Proven ability to win work and grow a market through business development.
• Strong relationship-building skills and familiarity with the Northern California market.
• Willingness to work on-site from the Oakland office.
