If you hold a valid Class A CDL and have at least one to five months of recent driving experience, this full-time OTR opportunity is built for steady miles and dependable weekly earnings.
About the Role
As a Class A CDL Company Driver with U.S. Xpress - OTR, you'll run over-the-road dry van freight while enjoying competitive, experience-based pay. Solo drivers average roughly 2,000 miles each week, and earnings scale with your CDL background — with the company's strongest OTR drivers reaching around $1,700 per week. A guaranteed weekly minimum and a sign-on incentive help you start strong from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport dry van freight on long-haul, over-the-road routes
- Maintain reliable schedules to average approximately 2,000 miles per week
- Follow all DOT, safety, and hours-of-service regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicate consistently with dispatch and complete accurate trip records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- One to five months of verifiable recent driving experience
- Willingness to run OTR with a typical 12-days-out / 2-days-home pattern
- Clean driving record and commitment to safe, on-time delivery
Pay & Opportunity
- Experience-based pay ranging from 57 to 64 cents per mile
- Guaranteed weekly minimum pay of $1,500*
- Top 20% of OTR drivers earning around $1,700 weekly
- $4,000 sign-on bonus for solo company drivers
- Team driving available: $5,000 sign-on bonus (split), averaging about 5,000 miles per week at a $0.72–$0.80 CPM split — and U.S. Xpress can help match you with a partner
