What This Role Involves
The role of a Travel NICU RN involves providing specialized care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, performing treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The nurse will work 12-hour night shifts for 36 hours per week over a duration of 13 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert care to critically ill infants in the NICU
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to healthcare providers
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and consultations
- Educate parents and families about infant care and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a registered nurse (RN) with experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. A current RN license is required, as well as a valid driver’s license for travel assignments.
