What This Role Involves

This role involves providing care for neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients. The primary responsibilities include managing the health and well-being of critically ill newborns, administering medications, performing medical procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care for neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients
• Administer medications as prescribed by a physician
• Perform medical procedures, including but not limited to intubation and resuscitation
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Provide education to families on home care and follow-up needs

Qualifications

• Nurse Registered (RN) license required
• Current NICU experience preferred
• 13 weeks of travel nursing experience is a plus
• Ability to work 36 hours per week, including 12-hour night shifts
• Strong communication and collaboration skills necessary
