About the Role
This full-time leadership position reaches well beyond day-to-day shipping. As a Project Logistics Strategy Manager at GE Vernova, you will champion supply chain resilience, cost discipline, and innovation across both the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR) phases, turning logistics into a genuine driver of profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and govern ITO Logistics Specialists who build Level 1 concepts, budgetary freight estimates, transportation schedules, and tender assumptions, while reviewing and approving plans for commercial and operational soundness.
- Define estimating methodologies, planning standards, and governance that support competitive tender activity.
- Consolidate transportation demand across projects, issue RFQs, run bid-tab and carrier evaluations, and negotiate rates, service agreements, and commercial terms.
- Prepare execution-readiness handovers, feasibility reviews, and transition documentation for Logistics Operations teams following project award.
- Grow strategic carrier and freight-forwarder networks for specialized, heavy-haul, over-dimensional, breakbulk, and multimodal cargo.
- Drive freight-spend reduction, mitigate transportation, customs, and supplier risk, and build contingency plans for continuity.
- Track performance indicators such as on-time delivery, transit and lead times, and carrier reliability, and support TMS, shipment visibility, and other digital initiatives.
- Partner across Commercial, Engineering, Sourcing, Procurement, Project Management, and Corporate Logistics while coaching and developing your team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10–12 years of experience in project logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles.
- Background supporting large-scale industrial, infrastructure, energy, or capital-project environments.
- Proven experience managing domestic and international multimodal transportation operations.
- Desirable: exposure to large energy, utility, or data center programs.
