Role Overview

The role of a Te Pae Oranga Kaimahi (Oranga Whānau Facilitator) involves supporting adults who have offended and victims through a Police-led alternative to the court process. This process is focused on restorative justice and community involvement, promoting accountability and positive outcomes for all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting adults who have offended in a voluntary process that promotes accountability and positive outcomes.
• Working with victims to ensure their voices are heard and respected throughout the process.
• Facilitating meetings between offenders, victims, and community members as needed.
• Providing information and support to participants about restorative justice principles and processes.
• Maintaining accurate records of all interactions and outcomes for each case.

About the Company

Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi Trust is based in Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty. The trust focuses on supporting the iwi's interests and well-being through various initiatives and programs. As a full-time role, this position requires working Monday to Friday from 8am-4pm.
