Swing Caregiver – PLC of Bend

Join Senior Housing Managers Group as a full-time Swing Caregiver serving our Assisted Living and Residential Care community in Bend, Deschutes County. In this pivotal role, you'll provide direct, hands-on support to residents every day, building trust through attentive care and maintaining clear communication with our clinical and management teams about each resident's well-being.

About the Role

The Swing Caregiver is central to our residents' quality of life, engaging in more direct interaction and daily support than most other team positions. You'll be the primary point of contact for residents' immediate needs, observing carefully and reporting on health status, changes, and concerns so the care team can respond appropriately.

What You'll Do

• Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility, meals, and grooming
• Maintain detailed, ongoing observations about each resident's physical condition, mood, and individual needs
• Communicate clearly and promptly with nursing staff, coordinators, and management about resident status and concerns
• Support residents with respect for their independence, preferences, and dignity
• Respond compassionately to resident requests and questions throughout your shift
• Follow established care protocols and work collaboratively within our interdisciplinary care team
• Keep resident areas safe, clean, and welcoming

What We're Looking For

• Genuine compassion and patience when working with older adults
• Strong observation skills and ability to recognize and report changes in resident status
• Physical capability to safely assist residents with mobility and personal care
• Reliable, responsible work ethic and dependability on assigned schedules
• Clear communication skills and professional demeanor with residents and team members
• Prior caregiving, assisted living, or residential care experience preferred
• Willingness to follow established procedures and commit to person-centered care
