About the Role

Work part-time as a Surgical Technician at Centra Health's Bedford location, supporting our surgical teams throughout daily operating room procedures. With schedules centered around 6:45am–5:15pm and variable shift availability, you'll partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and registered nurses to deliver safe, efficient surgical care for patients.

What You'll Do

• Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and medical supplies in advance of procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and practice aseptic technique throughout surgical cases
• Assist surgical teams during operations, anticipating needs and providing responsive support
• Manage and organize surgical instrument and equipment inventory
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
• Prepare operating rooms for cases and manage room cleanup between procedures

What We're Looking For

• Current Surgical Technician certification (CSFA, CST, or equivalent credential)
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterilization methods
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a busy surgical environment
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to patient safety
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with surgical team members
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and manage surgical equipment
