Superintendent

Gpac is hiring a Superintendent for our full-time team in Lexington, Fayette County. You'll lead construction operations on-site, managing schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and personnel across multiple project phases from start to finish.

About the Role

This hands-on leadership position puts you at the center of project execution. You'll be the senior site contact for all field activities, coordinating between internal teams, trade partners, and clients to keep projects running smoothly, safely, and profitably. Your day involves planning, problem-solving, and ensuring every detail meets standards.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all daily field operations, including scheduling, labor coordination, and material logistics
• Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets; report status and flag risks early
• Enforce safety protocols and compliance with building codes and company standards
• Inspect work quality at every stage and manage punch lists through completion
• Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients to keep stakeholders aligned
• Track costs, change orders, and documentation; maintain accurate project records
• Lead the crew and manage personnel performance on-site

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from groundbreaking to handoff
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building codes, and safety regulations
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure
• Clear communication with teams at all levels—crews, trades, management, and clients
• A track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget
• Proficiency with project management tools and basic computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between job sites as needed
