SUICIDE PREVENTION COORDINATOR — Holyoake, Narrogin

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Suicide Prevention Coordinator to join our dynamic and growing team in the Wheatbelt region. Reporting directly to the Prevention Services Manager, this role involves developing, implementing, and supporting initiatives focused on suicide prevention and postvention activities. You will work closely with key stakeholders within the local community.

Core Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive suicide prevention programs in collaboration with local partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide support to individuals at risk of suicidal behavior.
• Facilitate training sessions for community members, schools, and organizations on suicide awareness and intervention strategies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and guidelines related to mental health services.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in suicide prevention or a related field.
• A strong understanding of mental health issues, particularly as they relate to suicide prevention.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
