The Strategic Operations Center (SOC) Analyst position offers a full-time opportunity to work at the heart of Vanderbilt University's security operations. You'll serve as part of the Office of the Chief of Police within the Division of Administration, acting as a vigilant monitor and first responder for security events affecting the Vanderbilt community and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. What You'll Do

  • Monitor security systems, surveillance cameras, and alert networks across the Vanderbilt University campus and medical center in real time
  • Detect, analyze, and escalate security incidents and suspicious activities with appropriate urgency and precision
  • Maintain comprehensive logs and detailed documentation of all security events, responses, and investigative findings
  • Communicate swiftly and clearly with uniformed officers and emergency responders to coordinate rapid incident management
  • Review security footage and access control data to support incident investigations and law enforcement efforts
  • Provide ongoing situational awareness and real-time briefings to operations leadership and response teams

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; relevant college coursework or security certifications a plus
